ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Los Angeles Women's International Film Festival now in its 11th year has showcased hundreds of films made by women of diverse back grounds from all over the world. Catagories include: Animation, Documentaries, Narritives and shorts.
Described by Back Stage West Magazine, a leading source for entertainment news, as a “Must-attend event for all women in the entertainment industry,” the festival presents narratives, documentaries, animations and student short films. Alliance of Women Filmmakers has also partnered with Women of Warnerbros. (WOW) to present a variety of industry panels, workshops and seminars to provide resources as well as give filmmakers direct access to studio executives.
Past panels and workshop hosted by Women of Warner included; “Tuning into the Business of Music for Film” moderated by Lisa Margolis, Senior Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs, Music, Warner Bros. Pictures Financing Your Film; "Gender in Media Research: presented by Madeline Di Nonno, CEO of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media and “Taking Your Film to the Marketplace: the Path to Distribution” moderated by Natalie Rodriquez, Associate General Counsel, Warner Bros. Pictures. The festival is proud to be partnering with Women of Warner Bros. for the 2016 festival which will be held at LA Live Regal Cinemas March 24th -27th.
