Los Angeles Women's INTL Film Festival Early Deadline Fast Approaching
Los Angeles Women's INTL Film Festival Early Deadline is this Friday Sept. 12th. The festival now going into its' eleventh year to continues to provide resources and networking opportunities to empower women filmmakers, to share their unique perspectives through film.
Over the past ten years the festival has showcased hundreds of films made by women of diverse back grounds from all over the world and has established a network of women filmmakers worldwide who share the same passion in creating opportunities and powerful screen images of women.
Described by Back Stage West Magazine, a leading source for entertainment news, as a “Must-attend event for all women in the entertainment industry,” the festival presents narratives, documentaries, animations and student short films. We also present a variety of industry panels, workshops and seminars to provide resources as well as give filmmakers direct access to studio executives.
The 2014 festival panels and workshop were hosted by Women of Warner Bros. seminars included; “Tuning into the Business of Music for Film” moderated by Lisa Margolis, Senior Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs, Music, Warner Bros. Pictures Financing Your Film; "Gender in Media Research: presented by Madeline Di Nonno, CEO of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media and “Taking Your Film to the Marketplace: the Path to Distribution” moderated by Natalie Rodriquez, Associate General Counsel, Warner Bros. Pictures. AWF is partnering with Women of Warner Bros. for the fourth consecutive year to produce the 2015 Filmmaker Symposium.
