From the director of I Don’t Want to Sleep Alone (Venice Critic’s Week 2012) and Banana Fish (Short film - Cannes Critic’s Week and Best Mexican Short Film Morelia 2008) / Natalia Beristáin’s latest film “The Eternal Feminine” is based on the life one of Mexico’s most important literary voices of the 20th century. Rosario Castellanos is an introverted university student who doesn't seem to belong to her time. In the early 1950s in Mexico City, she is fighting to have voice heard in a society run by men.  She is about to become one of the biggest female writers in Mexican literature, but her tumultuous love story with Ricardo Guerra will manifest her fragility and contradictions. At the peak of her career and her marriage, she will ignite a discussion that will mark a turning point in her life.

Celebrating the cinematic achievements of women from the around the world, The Los Angeles Women's International Film festival produced by Alliance of Women Filmmakers will take place March 22-25 at LA Live Regal Cinemas. Now in its 14th year, the festival serves as a platform for women filmmakers worldwide to share their unique stories and cultural experiences with Los Angeles' diverse audience. The 2018 festival will feature films from around the world including; Austria, Italy, India and Japan to name a few.

About Golden Door

The Golden Door experience has been designed to empower guests to reposition themselves at the center of their own lives by tending to their bodies, their minds and their spirits.
