ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
MEREDITH DANLUCK
Meredith Danluck graduated from School of Visual Arts in New York with a Bachelors in Fine Arts and has exhibited at the Liverpool Biennial, Reina Sofia Museum, MoMA, PS1 Museum and Venice Biennale. Her short films, feature documentaries, and experimental films have screened at a number of festivals and museum venues including Sundance, Toronto International Film Festival, SXSW and Margaret Mead. In addition to making films, Danluck has worked producing multi-screen tour visuals for Jay Z, Beyonce and John Legend and has produced a number of films for Vice Media. Her ambitious four channel feature film entitled, North of South, West of East, where four feature-length narrative films play simultaneously in the perfect symphony, was commissioned by Ballroom Marfa and screened at Sundance 2013. That same year she was selected for the Sundance Writers Lab as well as the 2013 Sundance Directors Lab where she developed State Like Sleep. She lives and works in Los Angeles.
ABOUT #LAWOMENSFEST
Celebrating the cinematic achievements of women from the around the world, The Los Angeles Women's International Film festival produced by Alliance of Women Filmmakers and programmed by Diana Means will take place March 21-24 at LA Live Regal Cinemas.
Now in its 15th year, the festival serves as a platform for women filmmakers worldwide to share their unique stories and cultural experiences with Los Angeles' diverse audience. The 2019 festival will feature films from around the world including; Austria, Italy, India and Japan to name a few. The festival's programming also reflects Alliance of Women Filmmakers' mission to educate and inform audiences of social and political issues impacting women globally.
